Our story
From a one-man trade to a trusted local team
Gloucestershire Build started in 2012 as a small carpentry operation, taking on local renovation work across Cheltenham and the surrounding villages. From the very beginning, the focus was simple: do the job properly, treat people fairly, and let the work speak for itself.
Over the years, word spread. Satisfied customers recommended us to neighbours, friends, and family. The team grew steadily — always tradespeople who shared the same values — and our scope expanded from small repairs to full loft conversions and large-scale extensions.
Today we're one of Gloucestershire's most established building contractors, with over 150 completed projects across Cheltenham, Gloucester, Stroud, Cirencester, Tewkesbury, and the Cotswolds. But the ethos hasn't changed: quality first, every time.
Our history
How we got here
2012
Completed our first full loft conversion — a dormer in Stroud that's still one of our favourites.
2015
Expanded the team and began taking on rear and side-return extensions across the county.
2019
Passed 100 completed projects .
2025
Over 150 projects completed. Still family-run, still Gloucestershire-based.
Our values
What we stand for
These aren't values we put on a wall — they're the way we actually work.
Honesty
We tell you what's achievable, what it will cost, and how long it will take — before we start, not after.
Craftsmanship
Every project is built to last. We don't cut corners, and we don't walk away until the finish is right.
Communication
You'll always know what's happening on site. We keep you informed at every stage, and we're easy to reach.
Local knowledge
We know Gloucestershire's planning rules, building styles, and material suppliers inside out. That saves you time and money.
